Двенадцать тысяч лун за одну луну когда-то, не слишком ли это много?
Truth is far more terrifying than fiction.

Evil arrived with a bang - not a whimper. The Bell Witch first mnifested in quiet Red River, Tennessee. It was 1817, a time of purity, innocence, virtue...and unspeakable horrors for one unsuspecting family who would be memorialized as victims of the greatest haunting in American history.

One frightful day it came, and it was thirsty for blood. What was it? Evil incarnate? Ghost? Spirit? Whitch? Or devil? Follow the legend and you decide.

On a typical hunting expedition, John Bell, accompanied by his son and friend, entered the woods in search of prey. They had no idea that this time...they would become the hunted. A dense fog took hold of the woods. A shadowy fifure darted between the trees confusing their watchful eyes. Then suddenly,a menacing creature materialized from the mist and ferociously lunged at John. Rifle ready, he shot at the snarling beast. Bang! But it vanished as quickly as it came.

That fateful night, strange sounds befell the Bell household. There was scratching and knocking at the windows. Then, the wooden floorboards creaked with invisible footsteps as though someone, or something, made its way inside the home. Was it just mice? Rats? Or something much more sinister...

Daughter Betsy was suddenly afflicted by a terrifying presence in her bedroom. It yanked off her blankets, whispered her name, and sent chills of fright down her spine. At first, the family attempted to explain away these terrors as unusually bloodcurdling nightmares. But that was just the beginning. The haunting would esealate beyond all reasonable explanations.

Family friends James Johnston and Richard Powell were the first to learn of these unusual oceurrences and experienced the unforgettable phenomenon firsthand. Well-regarded men, they assumed the macabre disturbances were nothing more than fancy...until the screams started in the still of one unbelievably horrific night.

Running upstairs, they discovered Betsy fighting for her life as she was violently dragged across the floor by an invisible force of inhuman strenght. Her hair was brutally yanked straight out of her scalp. Dangling suspended in mid-air, Betsy was slapped, beaten, stricken, while her mother, father, and their friends watched in horror unable to stop the battering.

Word of the haunting continued to spread, until a family acquaintance, future President, General Andrew Jackson heard of the ghastly accounts at the Bell house. Joined by a crew of trusted men, Jackson arrived at the Bell settlement to encounter the unholy entity. Never one to disappoint, she violently assaulted Jackson and his men until they fled in sheer terror.

Night after night for four years, this unspeakably horrific phenomenon afflicted the family. Breathing, whispers, creaking, cries would rapidly intensify into nightmarish assaults. It came. It frightened. And it tortured. Then vanished only to return again the next dreadful night. With each brutal attack, the entity grew stronger. Eventually, it spoke, mocked, and berated them. Desperate to know who or what the source of these vicious beatings could possibly be, they sought counsel wiht the village's most educated resident, friend Richard Powell.

All logical evidence pointed to the Bell's neighbor Kate Batts, an eccentric woman already considered a witch by the town at large. John Bell and Kare Batts were more than just neighbors though. They were business partners in a land deal that went bad, leaving Kate feeling deeply betrayed and deceived. Witnessed by many, Kate cursed not only John, but his health, happy family, and daughter Betsy too.

The terrors only intensified. Young Betsy was continually tormented in her sleep, often beaten, dragged, and assaulted. The Bell family was incapable of helping her against this inescapable entity. Her performance in school suffered. She began seeing visions...she would never be the same.

More and more virulent, the relentless disturbances began destroying John Bell's hold on life. This menacing spirit, finally, in an act of complete vindication, maliciously murdered John with a poisonous toxin. Despite his death, this terrifying being was not done with the Bell family. She swore, ominously, to return seven years later, and as promised, she arrived with a vengeance. After that ghastly visit, the Bell Witch vowed to return once again 135 years later...

Not only did she return, but this time, she never left. Many visitors to the site of the Bell settlement testify to uncanny experiences and offer photographic evidence of their interaction with the entity.

Though the tale may seem strange and unreal, the haunting of the Bell Witch is a true, documented account substantiated by eyewitness reports and authenticated affidavits. Some say that anyone who hears her story will be the next unsuspecting victim of her frightening haunting. Now you know...now you're next.
